The company’s 2015 Sustainable Development Report was awarded in the “Client Media/Annual Report” nomination confirming Sakhalin Energy’s leadership in corporate social responsibility.
In the “Client Media/Printing and Souvenir Products” nomination, the company won with its LEGO model of Lunskoye-A, the first Russian offshore gas production platform, exhibited at Sakhalin Energy’s booth during the “Sakhalin Oil and Gas 2016” conference.
In the special nomination “The Efficient Tool in Forming Corporate Culture and Promoting Socially Responsible Business Principles”, the experts pointed out “The Family Book of Delicious Food”, written with the assistance of Sakhalin Energy employees under the project to support the Dolinsk Boarding School for Deaf and Hearing Impaired Children.
“ The World of Nivkhs” corporate calendar presented at the exhibition by the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg) was awarded in the “Best Special Issue nomination”.
The contest was initiated in 2003 under the Annual International conference “The role of communications and corporate media in company strategic management”. This year 150 applications in 44 nominations were submitted for participation. About 50 companies, among which there are Russian Railways, Severstal, Norilsk Nickel, Alfa Bank and others, put efforts to get the title of winner.
Also, Sakhalin Energy became winner of the “KonTEKst-2017” contest carried among journalists and press services of fuel and energy and power engineering industry companies. On the award ceremony in Moscow the company received awards for project “Presevation of Gray whales” and became a laureate of the award with project “Educational video “LNG: simple about the difficult”.
“KonTEKst” contest has been held since 2009 under the aegis of the Russian Ministry of Energy. Among nominees are representatives of the mass media, who write about the fuel and energy sector, press-services of fuel and energy companies and independent experts. The contest provides for a special projects nomination for fuel and energy companies. The key objective of the contest is to identify and summarise best practices in information, social, charitable, environmental and other programmes that benefit the community and positively affect the image and reputation of fuel and energy sector companies.
